Aftercare

Follow these instructions for the best healing results.

Supplies You'll Need

Soap

Dial Gold liquid antibacterial soap.

Ointment

Aquaphor. No Tattoo Goo.

Lotion

Curel, Lubriderm, or Eucerin — unscented only.

Healing Schedule

Day 1

After three hours, remove the bandaging and gently wash the tattoo using your hands only — no washcloths. Pat dry with clean paper towels and apply a thin layer of Aquaphor. Do not re-bandage.

Days 2–3

Wash and apply ointment three times daily, using the same gentle technique.

Until Healed

Apply unscented lotion three times daily, or as needed for dryness.

Absolutely No

Direct sun or tanning until completely healed.
Soaking, swimming, hot tubs, or baths until completely healed.
Picking, rubbing, scratching, or itching your tattoo.

Natural skin shedding will occur — resist the urge to pick or scratch. If you have any concerns while healing, consult a healthcare professional.
